Do your bowls come in stainless steel?

While our bowl tray is BPA-free plastic, we have included an "add-on". This includes a 6-pack of certified 304 stainless steel inserts with custom lids for easy storage and food prep.

Why doesn’t SoCool have a backup battery?

A backup battery can keep basic functions running like a clock—but not true refrigeration. Cooling requires real power, and a small battery wouldn’t maintain safe food temperatures. We designed SoCool like a real refrigerator: powerful, reliable, and built for real-world use. If power is lost, food should be removed just as you would with fresh food at home.

Small batteries can not keep food cold, which is why we focused on a high-performance cooling system instead of a gimmicky backup battery.

Is the feeder available for purchase in all countries?

SoCool is shipped to the United States. We are working to support other regions and will update this list when we do. If you are uncertain as to whether or not we ship to your country, please contact us so that we may determine the availability in your region.

What types of food can I use with SoCool?

SoCool can be used with any food that can be stored in your home refrigerator. Consult your veterinarian on the best food choices for your pet and the appropriate storage duration in refrigerated conditions.

What is your warranty policy?

The manufacturer's warranty is valid for 6 months from the purchase date and covers any manufacturing defects. Within this period, we offer troubleshooting support, online assistance, and repair services.

Does SoCool warm the food before serving?

The refrigeration system is detached from the bowl after it is dispensed allowing it to warm closer to room temperature with time, however it does not actively heat up the food. We found in our testing that warming food causes it to dry out and spoil faster.

Does SoCool have a microchip reader?

Not at this time. We are actively looking into an add on feature to offer you the most flexibility.

What about whisker stress?

We took this into consideration with our design. Although the feeder requires insulation on top to maintain temperature and moisture, we have used a graduated edge spanning 8.5 inches at the bowl opening to allow adequate room for our more sensitive felines.

How do I set up SoCool?

Can I control SoCool remotely?

Yes, we use the SmartLife app to manage feeding schedules and settings.

Can I share the SmartLife app with others for added convenience?

Yes, you can share the SmartLife app with other family members or caretakers to ensure your pet's feeding schedule is maintained seamlessly.

Can I change the temperature settings?

No, the device is configured at the factory for 38°F - 40°F.

Will my device still deliver food if my internet goes down?

Yes, this device has its own internal clock and will continue delivering food on schedule even without WIFI. If you have enabled off line notifications in your app's settings you will receive a push notification from our servers indicating your device is offline.

How secure is the lid for food motivated pets?

Over a year of beta testing no curious animals have broken in. Our final design has a double locking mechanism for extra security.

Is this dishwasher safe?

The interior plastic meal tray, stainless steel inserts, and silicone lids are all dishwasher safe when placed on the top shelf. However, the device itself, including the lid, must not be submerged in water or washed in the dishwasher. To clean the body of the device, please wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

Will the food tray continue to rotate after the last portion is delivered potentially serving my pet spoiled food?

Absolutely Not! This was an extremely important feature for us. We noticed with our beta testers that because SoCool is so easy to use they quickly forgot which day they were on. We have built in an automatic stop after the 6th meal is delivered and the LED will display and stay red until the reset button on the device is pushed. This button is located conveniently just under the front of the device and becomes intuitive to push with each refill of the food tray.

Feature Update Coming Soon; Ability to remotely control or disable the automatic stop after last portion has delivered.

What if I see water or ice on the cooling plate?

This is totally normal and nothing to worry about. We encourage you to wipe the cooling tray every time you reload the device to prevent ice particle from forming interfering with tray rotation and timely delivery. If you notice ice, unplug SoCool™️ for a few minutes and easily wipe away.
